answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/05/2024 answer text <p>As set out in the Government’s response to the 2022 Online Advertising Programme consultation, the configuration of the market at present can mean that accessing comprehensive data on harms associated with online advertising can be challenging. We have already commissioned external research papers, conducted a call for evidence, and completed a public consultation, to seek to address this.</p><p>The Online Advertising Taskforce was established to encourage actors across the advertising industry to improve standards and build the evidence base on advertising harms and how they enter the supply chain, in advance of future legislation. As part of this work, DCMS is undertaking research on online users’ experiences of advertising harms. The programme has funded the transformation and restoration of over 60 high streets, creating economic growth and improving quality of life in these areas.</p><p>There was one programme in Suffolk, in Lowestoft. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/05/2024 answer text <p>The UK Government has a clear plan to grow the creative industries by a further £50 billion and support another 1 million jobs by 2030. This was set out in June 2023 in the Creative Industries Sector Vision, which was accompanied by £77 million of new funding to support the sector’s growth. This is on top of a range of tax reliefs introduced or expanded since 2010 covering film, television, animation, video games, orchestras, theatres and more.</p><p>Creative Industries GVA grew at more than twice the rate of UK GVA between 2010 and 2022 (50.3% vs 21.5%), and helped support more than a million new jobs since 2010.</p><p>Measures in the Sector Vision include the £28.4 million Create Growth Programme (CGP) to support high-growth creative businesses in twelve English regions outside London to scale up and become investment ready. The CGP is being delivered in twelve local area partnerships, including Suffolk.</p><p>It also includes £1 million for the Creative Careers Programme, which raises young people’s awareness of creative careers and pathways by providing specialist advice and information through a range of industry-led engagement. It is delivered in regions around England, including Suffolk.</p><p>The Arts Council England Investment Programme is also investing £444 million each year into arts and culture in England. This funding includes supporting the purchase of a new mobile library vehicle in North Yorkshire and also in Warwickshire to deliver the first sensory mobile public library in the UK.</p><p>We will be publishing a refreshed Government strategy for public libraries later this year, informed by the independent review of English public libraries conducted by Baroness Sanderson of Welton. Its recent, specially-curated exhibition, 'Soup, Socks and Spiders! Art of the Everyday' focusing on still lifes, was shared with people in Nuneaton, Walsall, Ashfield, Wigan, Rotherham, Stoke-on-Trent, Tarporley and Runcorn. I was delighted to learn more about the education and engagement this involved, and to be able to express my Department’s support for the project.
