answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/01/2024 answer text <p>The government has made transparency around automated decision-making a priority through the publication of the Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standard (ATRS). The ATRS was endorsed by the Data Standards Authority (DSA), and the first approved version was published in January 2023.</p><p>The Red Box Copilot is currently in Alpha, being tested in a controlled, transparent manner in a small number of private offices.</p><p>Any standards that have been designated by the DSA have an expectation that they will be adopted where there is a use case. It ended on 30 June 2023.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Its creation led to 5,124 referrals of potential fraud being disseminated to public bodies.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The figures provided below do not include Intelligence Team staff costs.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><ol><li><p>The set up cost for the Covid Fraud Hotline with Crimestoppers was £105,000 excluding VAT.</p></li></ol><p><strong> </strong></p><ol start="2"><li><p>Following this, the operating costs of the Hotline between October 2020 and on 30 June 2023 was £114,940 excluding VAT</p></li></ol><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In 22/23 the PSFA set a target of delivering £180m of savings to the taxpayer. This includes the National Cyber Strategy, National Security and Investment Programme, and the Biological Security Strategy, all of which the department is taking essential steps to deliver.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Key successes in 2023 included publishing the Integrated Review Refresh, passing the National Security Act, launching the Emergency Alerting scheme and delivering the Atlantic Declaration and risk elements of the AI Summit.
