answer text <p>No one will be disenfranchised by confirming who they are. These are sensible plans to make our elections more secure. Everyone registered to vote will have the opportunity to do so. Any voter who does not have an approved form of ID will be able to apply, free of charge, for an electoral ID from their local authority.</p><p>Both the pilots and the Northern Irish experience demonstrate that showing ID does not reduce participation.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>We are clear that the Government needs to be less London-centric and should reflect the nation it serves. The Cabinet Office’s Places for Growth programme has been established to drive the relocation of roles out of London into the regions and nations of the United Kingdom.</p><p>So far the Programme has identified over 3,000 roles in arms length bodies for relocation, over a phased timetable and we will continue to push ahead with these plans as part of the next Spending Review.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government does not hold information centrally on the number of primary schools that are used as polling stations. It is the responsibility of the relevant Returning Officer to choose venues for polling stations.</p><p>For the 2019 General Election, the Government offered to reimburse the additional cost of using alternative venues where schools or other community spaces ordinarily used as polling places were already booked for other planned events on the day of the poll in order to avoid disrupting activities in the run up to the festive season. answer text <p>The UK is a world leader in cutting emissions while growing the economy, and has set an ambitious net zero target which will require transformation across the economy.</p><p>Tackling climate change is a priority for the whole of government, which is why the Prime Minister has set up the Cabinet Committee on Climate Change. This committee will hold departments to account for their actions to combat climate change and oversee the UK’s preparations to host the COP26 summit.</p><p>The Government is leading from the front, and delivering on the Greening Government Commitments. Cabinet Office monitors and reports performance against these Commitments through the annual publication of the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/state-of-the-estate-in-2017-2018" target="_blank">State of the Estate Report</a>. The Report describes the size and cost, efficiency of use and sustainability of property for central government buildings.</p> more like this
