In addition, they are also exempt from having to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge making applications significantly cheaper. These benefits apply to main applicants and their dependants.</p><p>More broadly, fees for migration and borders products and services play a vital role in our country’s ability to run a sustainable system. The White Paper proposals include a new route for skilled workers which will be open to anyone at RQF level 3 and above, irrespective of where they are applying from. This route will not be capped allowing all of those who meet our requirements to come to the UK.</p><p>The White Paper also includes a transitional route for temporary workers which will be open to anyone from qualifying countries, wishing to fill positions at any skill level, for up to 12 months. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/03/2017 answer text <p>The Government commissioned the independent Migration Advisory Committee to undertake a comprehensive review of the Tier 2 route in June 2015. In carrying out its review, the MAC issued two public calls for evidence (from 18 June to 2 July 2015 and from 2 July to 24 September 2015) and consulted extensively with over 200 organisations, including professional bodies in the health sector across all parts of the UK.</p><p> </p><p>The changes we are making to Tier 2 salary thresholds, which will come into effect on 6 April 2017, therefore reflect the latest evidence provided by the MAC and are measured and balanced.
