<p>The Care Quality Commission (CQC) rates health and care providers using five key
questions, which are: are services safe; effective; caring; responsive to people’s
needs; and well led. CQC has 49 residential and community mental health trusts on
its register and of these, one provider, or 2%, is rated as inadequate for CQC’s safety
rating.</p><p>Through the NHS Long Term Plan, we are investing at least £2.3 billion
of additional funding a year by March 2024, compared to 2018/19, to expand and transform
mental health services in England so that two million more people can get the mental
health support that they need.</p>
