answer text <p>No recent assessment has been made and such data is held.</p><p>NHS England and NHS Improvement have written to the medical directors of National Health Service mental health trusts asking them to review the implementation of Serenity Integrated Mentoring and similar models in trusts, in partnership with local patient representatives and those who might have been in the care of such models.</p><p>NHS England and NHS Improvement intend to gather learning from these local reviews, to inform the expansion and transformation of community and crisis care services for adults and older adults with mental health needs as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.</p> more like this

answer text <p>No such comparative assessment has been made.</p><p>Data on access to mental health services on people with mental health conditions is collated in the Mental Health Services Dataset and the Improving access to Psychological Therapies dataset. While both these datasets are able to record the consultation medium and show increased use of remote consultations for people in contact with services, it is too early to determine the overall effect of this change on service users and outcomes.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There is a range of support available for people experiencing mental health problems and they can be referred by their general practitioner based on clinical need. People can also self-refer to most services for treatment. This includes the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme which provides counselling and therapy services. We continue to expand access to talking and psychological therapies through the IAPT programme. The NHS Long Term Plan commits to ensuring that an additional 380,000 adults will be able to access IAPT services by 2023/24.</p> more like this

answer text <p>A wide range of support is available for people with mental health problems on the National Health Service. These range from school and college-based mental health support teams, evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as prescribed medication, psychological and talking therapies provided by Improving Access to Psychological Therapies services for more common conditions, through to specialist mental health support services and 24 hours a day, seven days a week urgent mental health helplines for those with more serious conditions.</p><p> </p><p>Social prescribing and green social prescribing can link people with mental health problems to non-clinical interventions and activities, such as local walking for health schemes, community gardening and food-growing projects. Digital resources such as the Every Mind Matters portal and the GOV.UK and NHS websites also offer expert advice and practical tips to support mental health and wellbeing.</p> more like this
