We examine every application on a case-by-case basis against strict Criteria, drawing on a range of sources in making assessments, including a range of NGOs and international organisations in addition to our diplomatic posts. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/09/2020 answer text <p>The UK Government has made clear our concerns about allegations of human rights abuses by members of the Chilean security forces since October 2019. Our Ambassador in Chile has expressed those concerns to the Chilean government. We welcome the Chilean government's acceptance of reports and recommendations by the UN and Human Rights Watch and note their assurances, in public and to our Ambassador, that allegations of human rights abuses will be investigated fully.
