Most recently, our Deputy High Commissioner in New Delhi raised the case with the Ministry of External Affairs on 19 February. I continue to engage with the family and met the family and their MP, Martin Docherty-Hughes, on 1 February 2018. Our consular staff in India visit Mr Johal regularly.</p> more like this

answer text <p>​I most recently raised our concerns about the demolitions of Palestinian property with the Israel Ambassador on 27 February. The Government supports Bedouin communities and Palestinians facing demolition or eviction in Area C of the West Bank through our funding to the Norwegian Refugee Council legal aid programme. Additionally, we are supporting four communities, comprising of nearly 500 Palestinian families living in Area C, to remain on their land through improved infrastructure and access to community services, including education and health, in areas which have an outline plan in the Israeli approval process.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK is strongly encouraging all sides to engage constructively with the High Level Revitalisation Forum, and we call on all parties to reconvene as soon as possible, without preconditions, to address the security and governance issues that are essential for peace. The UK Special Representative for Sudan and South Sudan was in the region to participate in both the first and second rounds of the High Level Revitalisation Forum.</p><p>The UK played a leading role in securing EU sanctions against three South Sudanese leaders in February, and we stand ready to support the efforts of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development to ensure the consequences for those who spoil the peace process are clearly set out and effectively implemented.</p> more like this

Our membership of the Commonwealth underpins our shared values. 800,000 people in the UK have Jamaican family connections and over 200,000 Britons visit Jamaica each year. The Government of the UK and its Caribbean trading partners have agreed that future trade arrangements after the UK leaves the EU, will take existing arrangements as the starting point. answer text <p>We are aware that Italian oil company ENI has been prevented from carrying out licensed drilling in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) following Navtex issued by Turkey warning of naval exercises in the same area. We support the Republic of Cyprus’ sovereign right to exploit natural resources in its EEZ, and want to see exploration go ahead. We believe Cyprus’ hydrocarbons should be developed for the benefit of all Cypriots, and urge all parties to look for ways by which the development of hydrocarbons can support the search for a settlement.</p> more like this
