answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/11/2018 answer text <p>57 countries have adopted the London 2018 Declaration committing to action to protect endangered species around the globe, with more expected to sign. This important pledge of international action reflects the success of the Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference in London in October, which was attended by more than 70 countries and more than 400 organisations. The conference focused the minds of international governments on the issue and energized global cooperation to fight the illegal wildlife trade. He called for progress on the issues covered by the MoU and pressed the Burmese authorities to grant UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UNHCR unfettered access to northern Rakhine State. The UK's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, speaking during the 24 October meeting of the UN Security Council, raised the UK's concern that UNDP and UNHCR continue to be denied access to large parts of Rakhine. The UK continues to raise our concerns with the Government of Cameroon, to call for urgent action to solve this crisis. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2018 answer text <p>Since 2012, when the EU granted Burma duty-free, quota-free market access on &quot;Everything But Arms&quot;, EU imports from Burma have risen almost ten-fold, to €1,558 million in 2017. Most of the EU's imports are of textiles and apparel. This has substantially expanded employment opportunities for women in Burma. The direct impact of a decision to suspend preferences and re-introduce tariffs would not be on the military, but on the textile businesses and their employees, including many vulnerable women employed in Burma's garment sector. We are working with Member States, and are in discussions with the Commission, to ensure that the likely impacts are thoroughly considered before any decision is made.
