<p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office notes the remarks made by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in her opening statement on 10 September. The Minister for the Middle East (Mr Burt) expressed his concerns on the five year sentence handed to Mr Rajab in his written statement of 21 February. We understand there is now an opportunity for Mr Rajab's legal team to apply for an appeal through the judicial system, and our officials will continue to monitor the case closely.</p>
