The purpose of FCO Travel Advice is to give people the best information possible in making their own decisions about travelling overseas. The change in the Travel advice for Tunisia in July 2017, no longer advising against all but essential travel to most of the country, was based on a robust assessment of the evidence of the risks faced by British nationals and improvements in security.</p><p>I visited Tunisia in August. The conflict sees skirmishes and sporadic fighting in a number of areas in western Yemen, including along the Saudi border, around Midi, north east of Sana'a and in the vicinity of Sirwah. We remain concerned by the ability of terrorist organisations such as Al Qaeda and Daesh to exploit ungoverned spaces in Yemen. The conflict has also resulted in security threats to international shipping in the Bab-el-Mandeb. Reinstating peace talks remains the top priority: a political solution is the best way to bring stability to Yemen and address the worsening humanitarian crisis. The UK continues to play a leading role in international efforts to achieve this goal. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) continues to report Iran's compliance with its commitments under the JCPOA, most recently on 31 August. The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary have spoken to their US counterparts, making clear that the deal is working and is a UK priority. They have also spoken regularly with their French and German counterparts on this issue. We are aware of reports of alleged violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and we take these very seriously. It is important that credible allegations of violations of IHL are investigated. We regularly press the need for the Saudi-led Coalition to conduct thorough and conclusive investigations into reports of alleged violations of IHL. Saudi Arabia has publicly stated that it is investigating reports of alleged violations of IHL, and that lessons will be acted upon. We welcome the reports issued by the Joint Incidents Assessment Team, including the 15 reports issued on 12 September (taking the total number to 36). The Foreign Secretary raised the humanitarian situation in his discussion with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia on 25 August</p><p>The UK has also taken the lead in urging all parties to ensure rapid, safe and unhindered humanitarian access. This call was repeated by the UN Security Council Presidential Statement proposed and coordinated by the UK in June. This September at the UN General Assembly I hosted a Ministerial-level meeting with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the US and UN Special Envoy for Yemen.
