answer text The UK fully supports the UN Action Plan for Libya set out at the UN General Assembly by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Ghassan Salamé, and endorsed in the Security Council's Presidential Statement of 14 December 2017. The Action Plan envisages negotiations on limited amendments to the Libya Political Agreement, a National Conference, preparations for elections and the provision of humanitarian assistance where it is needed in Libya. The UK supports the Special Representative's emphasis on the importance of ensuring that elections, when they happen, are preceded by the necessary political, legislative and security preparations. more like this

We believe that this can only be based on coexistence, true disassociation from regional conflicts, and the disarmament of all militias so that no one party can hold the country's stability or politics hostage. answer text
The British Government has not severed diplomatic relations with Syria. Since the withdrawal of our staff from the British Embassy in Damascus in February 2012 and the closure of the Syrian Embassy in London in August 2012, our dealings have been minimal and only in relation to essential consular or administration issues. There is no plan to change this. The UK believes the Asad regime has lost its legitimacy due to its atrocities against the Syrian people and that a sustainable political settlement in Syria ultimately requires a political transition away from the current regime.
more like this

We welcome the unilateral cessations of hostilities announced by both the Government of Sudan (expires 31 December 2017) and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) (expires 31 January 2018). We have not received any credible reports, including from the SPLM-N, on government violations of their unilateral cessation of hostilities. We continue to urge both sides to constructively engage with the African Union High Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP) peace process in order to agree upon a permanent ceasefire and unfettered humanitarian access.
more like this
