However, the Chinese government is on record as supporting the extradition proposals.</p><p>The UK regularly raises Hong Kong at all levels with China. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/02/2016 answer text <p>We regularly talk to our Nigerian counterparts, at the highest levels, about UK assistance to Nigeria to help them tackle Boko Haram. I raised this with the Nigerian Foreign Minister earlier this month at the African Union summit. This week the Minister of State, my noble Friend the right hon. Baroness Anelay of St John's returned from Nigeria where she met Nigerian ministers and reiterated the UK’s support to Nigeria in combating Boko Haram.</p><p>We are providing a substantial and increasing package of intelligence, military and development support to Nigeria. This includes training and advice on counter-insurgency. Almost 1000 Nigerian military personnel have benefited from UK training to prepare them for counter-insurgency operations in North East Nigeria and up to 300 UK military personnel are expected to provide training to the Nigerian Armed Forces this year (2016). The Government of Egypt has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of minorities and to the need to promote religious tolerance. We welcome President Sisi's calls for peaceful co-existence and the Government of Egypt's expression of support for the rights of Christians and for religious tolerance.</p><p>Combating sectarian violence in Egypt is a shared strategic objective for the Egyptian and British governments. He confirmed that we stand together with Jordan and our coalition partners in eradicating this murderous extremism and the poisonous ideology behind it. The Foreign Secretary, My Rt Hon Friend the Member for Runnymede and Weybridge (Mr Hammond) also contacted the Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. Our Embassy in Hanoi works closely with the embassies of likeminded countries to ensure this issue is raised regularly with the Vietnamese authorities.</p><p> </p><p>At the recent EU-Vietnam human rights dialogue in January, the UK supported the EU raising the issue of freedom of religion or belief, in particular the problems encountered by the UN Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief during his visit to Vietnam in July 2014. Our Ambassador in Hanoi also raised our concerns about Vietnam’s handling of the visit by the UN Special Rapporteur's visit with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.</p><p> </p><p>We remain concerned about the general human rights situation in Vietnam.
