	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/06/2017 answer text <p>The British Government holds regular discussions with the Government of Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on the widest range of security issues, including the recent missile launches conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). In May, the Prime Minister, spoke to the President of the ROK to confirm that the UK will continue to work with the ROK and the international community to maintain pressure on the DPRK to abide by its international obligations, including multiple UN Security Council Resolutions which prohibit its ballistic missile programme. We have repeatedly called upon the Government of Pakistan to end capital punishment and, at a minimum, commit publicly to renewing the previously imposed moratorium on the death penalty. We regularly raise our concerns about freedom of expression and the misuse of the blasphemy laws with the Government of Pakistan at a senior level. Our concerns are reflected in the latest update to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office annual human rights report.</p><p>The Foreign Secretary raised religious tolerance and misuse of the blasphemy laws during his visit to Pakistan in November 2016. My predecessor, my Hon. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/06/2017 answer text <p>We have raised our concerns over the situation in Rakhine State with the Burmese authorities on a number of occasions. Most recently, the Foreign Secretary and the former Minister for Asia and the Pacific both raised our concerns with State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi during her visit to the UK in May. They stressed the need for humanitarian access and a credible investigation into reports of violations.</p><p>Furthermore as recently as March, the UK supported the creation of a UN Human Rights Council-mandated Independent International Fact Finding Mission to look into the situation in Rakhine State. We urge Burma to cooperate fully with this mission. We also fully support the Rakhine Advisory Commission led by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. We also continue to raise the case with the Indian authorities at all levels, asking that they do all they can to bring the case to a speedy conclusion, bearing in mind the impact on the six men and their families.</p><p>This is an ongoing legal process and we cannot interfere in the Indian legal system, just as we would not allow another country to interfere in an ongoing court case in the United Kingdom.</p><p>We have a Prisoner Transfer Agreement with India but before arrangements can be made regarding Mr Irving's transfer to Scotland, all legal proceedings must be complete and all bail and appeal applications would need to be withdrawn. Friends the Secretaries of State for Health (Mr Hunt) and Education (Ms Greening) discussed gender equality, women’s empowerment, and female education and employment rights with Chinese ministerial counterparts. Women’s empowerment will continue to be a key theme for this year’s ‘People to People’ Dialogue. Our Ambassador in Beijing, Dame Barbara Woodward, is a patron of ‘Inspiring Women China’, and launched a series of events in schools across China in March this year. The UK's Natural Environment Research Council and the National Natural Science Foundation of China are working together to monitor concentrations and varieties of airborne particles and volatile gases in the atmosphere, and their potential impact on human health. The UK continues to provide strong support for the development of China's national emissions trading scheme which will cover 10% of global emissions. The British Government strongly condemns the targeting of innocent people based on their religion or beliefs.</p><p>We regularly raise our concerns about the protection of minority communities, including religious minorities, with the Pakistani Government at a senior level. The Foreign Secretary discussed the importance we attach to safeguarding the rights of all Pakistan's citizens during his visit to Pakistan in November 2016.</p><p>In January 2017, my predecessor, my hon.
