answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/10/2014 answer text <p>All schools should teach Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, and this expectation is set out in the introduction to the new national curriculum.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department for Education trusts schools and teachers to provide a high-quality PSHE education. This is the biggest step towards fairer schools funding in a decade. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/06/2014 answer text <p>We received bids for the Academies Capital Maintenance Fund for 3,300 projects from 2,015 academies and have so far made awards to 1,134 academies, including 6 academies in the hon. Member's constituency.</p><p>The criteria used to assess bids were set out in the guidance for the scheme. We assessed each eligible application against these weighted criteria. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/04/2014 answer text <p>The Government is providing £150 million capital funding in 2014-15 to support the introduction of universal infant free school meals, in addition to over £1 billion additional revenue funding over the two years 2014 to 2016. Local authorities are also free to use some of the capital they receive for general maintenance and improvement purposes to upgrade kitchen and dining facilities in schools, if that is a priority locally.</p><p> </p><p>The pilots of universal free school meal provision which ran in Newham and Durham between 2009 and 2011 showed, however, that building new facilities is not the only way to increase school meal uptake.</p><p> </p><p>To help schools to find solutions which meet their local circumstances, on 6 March we launched a national support service which consists of a telephone and online advice service for schools, local authorities and caterers, and a direct-support service for schools which need additional support. The service is being provided by school food experts, the Children's Food Trust and the Lead Association for Catering in Education, in conjunction with a number of delivery partners. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/03/2014 answer text <p>The Government announced in September 2013 that state-funded schools will be required to offer free school meals to infant pupils from September 2014, giving schools a full year to put arrangements in place. We know from the universal free school meal pilots, in which schools were required to provide meals to all infant pupils and all key stage 2 pupils, that it is possible for schools to prepare to implement this policy with much less notice.</p><p>In order to help schools to implement universal infant free school meals in September 2014 we have put in place a national support service, run by school food experts. The assistance available through that service includes a telephone helpline, the sharing of good practice, and intensive face-to-face support.
