answer text <p>Ofcom’s October 2013 Infrastructure Report reported that download modem sync speeds in May 2013 were 17.7Mbit/s for the UK, 17.6Mbit/s for South East England, 19.2Mbit/s for Berkshire, and 18.5Mbit/s for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Average upload speeds were not published in the infrastructure report. However in Ofcom’s UK fixed-line broadband performance report for November 2013 reported an average actual upload speed of 2.3Mbit/s for UK residential fixed-line broadband connections, but they did not publish a geographic breakdown.</p> more like this

answer text <p><strong>Planning for the commemoration, in 2015, of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo is being carried out by Waterloo 200, an umbrella organisation </strong><strong>approved and supported by Government</strong><strong> which is overseeing the anniversary. In the June 2013 budget, the Chancellor announced that funding of £1m will be allocated to restore the site of the battle. </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>In October 2013, we also announced that at least £10m will be made available by the Heritage Lottery Fund over the next four years to fund projects marking some of the UK’s most important anniversaries and commemorative events, including the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo.</strong></p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government did not make any representations to the World Anti-Doping Agency on the length of bans imposed on athletes who test positive for performance-enhancing stimulants, but endorsed and supported those made by UK Anti-Doping, the UK’s National Anti-Doping Organisation, throughout the consultation process. The Government remains committed to playing a full and active part in the global fight against doping in sport and welcomes the new World Anti-Doping Code, coming into force on 1 January 2015, being tougher on those who cheat. The new Code implements a stringent sanctioning regime in respect of intentional doping, which will now result in a four year ban from all sport.</p> more like this
