answer text <p>In September 2016, the Electoral Commission Report on the 23 June 2016 referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union found the referendum had been delivered without any major issues and the result announced in a clear, timely manner.</p><p> </p><p>Since then, the Electoral Commission has published the conclusions of its investigation into the campaign spending of referendum campaigners. That electoral rules have been breached is rightly a cause for concern. However, that does not mean that the rules themselves were flawed.</p><p> </p><p>The Government will continue to work closely with the Electoral Commission, along with many other stakeholders in the electoral system, to protect the integrity, security and effectiveness of referendums and elections.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The number of non-UK EU citizens employed across the Civil Service is not consistently collected across government, therefore it is not possible to estimate the cost of not charging for settled status for non-UK EU nationals employed directly by the Government.</p><p>The UK Government currently does not plan to pay the Settled Status for its non-UK EU citizen employees. The fee is set at an affordable rate (£65), less than the cost of an UK passport.</p><p>We are committed to supporting our EU citizen employees across the Civil Service, the important engagement with EU national networks across government will continue over the coming months.</p> more like this

answer text <p>EU and EEA citizens who are currently employed in the Civil Service, will continue to be able to work and play a full role in the Civil Service, as they do now, following the UK’s exit from the EU. This will also be the case in the unlikely event of a no deal scenario.</p><p>As with all UK employers, the Civil Service needs to ensure that future recruitment is compliant with immigration laws.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) was established in October 2016 as the UK’s technical authority on cyber security matters. It is not possible to monitor all of the phishing attacks on the UK. The NCSC’s Active Cyber Defence programme has removed 138,398 unique phishing sites hosted in the UK in the last 12 months and the UK share of visible global phishing attacks dropped from 5.3% (June 2016) to 2.4% (July 2018).</p> more like this

answer text <p>During the time-limited implementation period, EU law will continue to apply in the UK subject to the terms set out in the Withdrawal Agreement. After the implementation period, all laws in the UK will be passed by our elected representatives in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London.
