answer text <p>We have sanctioned the export of all chemicals and biochemicals of concern to Russia.</p><p> </p><p>This is in addition to our existing export controls, which already restrict the export of certain chemicals, pathogens and toxins.</p><p> </p><p>Sanctions and export controls are impacting Russia’s economy and depriving its military of key components, and we are going further by extending our capabilities..</p><p> </p><p>My department has recently announced the creation of the Office of Trade Sanctions Implementation (OTSI) to strengthen enforcement and support industry compliance.</p><p> </p><p>We are also working closely with Ukraine and international partners to coordinate efforts to thwart Russia’s efforts to circumvent sanctions to gain access to technology to support its invasion.</p> more like this

However, there are many types of steel products needed by consumers, and it is not always economically viable for any nation to be wholly self-sufficient. This means that the UK imports certain types of steel and also exports certain steel product to other countries.</p><p>We have taken action to enable a competitive landscape and level playing field, including reducing energy costs through the British Industry Supercharger, access to energy efficiency and decarbonisation funding, and remedies against unfair trading practices, while balancing the need to remain a fair and open market.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>DBT publishes data on export licences for controlled goods on a quarterly basis, including data on end user destination, value, type (e.g. military, other) and a summary of the items covered by these licences.</p><p>However, DBT has no record of any current export licences for Israel for aircraft fuels formulated for military purposes.</p><p>There are no UK exports of any jet fuel to Israel from October 2023 to March 2024 (the latest data available) according to HMRC’s Overseas Trade in Goods Statistics.</p> more like this
