answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2023 answer text <p>The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 establishes duties for manufacturers to design and construct safe articles for use at work. In the various health and safety regulations that apply to the oil and gas industry it is the responsibility of the duty holder to ensure that any components used are fit for purpose for their intended use, and that they have the means to ensure those components will remain fit for purpose during their service life. Furthermore, product supply legislation places duties on the manufacturers of such products to assess their safety before their use.</p><p> </p><p>The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) undertakes market surveillance monitoring of the health and safety of most products used at work. HSE have been engaged with the additive manufacturing industry for a number of years, including the publication of a report into structure properties of the technique in 2015. Industry standards and guidance are being produced in this area and these assure quality control throughout additive manufacture and provide a sufficient quantity and quality of information to manufacturers and dutyholders seeking to make or use these articles which can also be used as benchmarks against which to judge regulatory compliance. However, we have automated the creation of the referral form for claimants who miss mandatory appointments. Claimants with parental caring responsibilities continue to have tailored commitments agreed based on their personal circumstances and conditionality requirements.</p><p>Any work-related requirements are set in discussion with the claimant, tailored to their individual capability and circumstances, making them realistic and achievable. However, we continue to monitor new research and evidence produced by external organisations.</p><p> </p><p>Government takes the issue of food security seriously, which is why we added internationally used food security questions to the Family Resources Survey in 2019/20. These questions remain in the survey and will allow us to track food security over time</p><p> </p><p>Building on the food insecurity data which this Government first published in 2019/20, we have published official estimates of foodbank use for the first time. The value of the £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment is set in primary legislation: the Social Security (Additional Payments) Act 2023 (<a href="https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2023/7/contents" target="_blank">Social Security (Additional Payments) Act 2023 (legislation.gov.uk)</a>).</p><p> </p><p>I am pleased to say that the payments, worth an estimated total of £1.17bn once all payments have been made, started to be paid into the bank accounts of qualifying recipients from 20 June with over six million people expected to benefit. More than 6m disabled people have received a one-off £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment. People receiving a qualifying benefit will be paid automatically by 4 July.</p><p> </p><p>We estimate that nearly 60 per cent of individuals who receive an extra costs disability benefit will also receive the means-tested benefit Cost of Living Payments, worth up to £900. Families on benefits should face the same financial choices when deciding to grow their family as those supporting themselves solely through work. A benefits structure adjusting automatically to family size is unsustainable. We seek to balance recovery of debt against not causing hardship for claimants and their families. Processes are in place to ensure deductions are manageable, and customers can contact the DWP Debt Management Team if they are experiencing financial hardship, to discuss a reduction in their rate of repayment, or a temporary suspension, depending on their financial circumstances.</p><p> </p><p>Since April 2021, we have reduced the normal maximum rate of deductions in Universal Credit from 40% to 25% of a claimant’s Standard Allowance. These positive measures were put in place to support claimants to manage financial difficulties.</p><p> </p><p>Advances are a claimant’s benefit entitlement paid early, allowing claimants to access 100% of their estimated Universal Credit payment upfront. They ensure nobody has to wait for a payment in Universal Credit, and those who need it are able to receive financial support as soon as possible. Claimants can receive up to 100% of their estimated Universal Credit award if required, resulting in 25 payments over a 24-month period.
