answer text <p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) did not apply directly to the Integrated Activity Fund in 2018-19 or to the Gulf Strategy Fund in 2020-21. answer text <p>I spoke to the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister on 13 November and the Armenian Foreign Minister on 30 November where I welcomed the cessation of hostilities. I urged both Foreign Ministers to ensure the International Committee of the Red Cross were able to access the conflict zone to allow for the facilitation of the return of prisoners of war and the remains of the deceased. Our Embassies in Yerevan and Baku continue to engage their hosts in support of these efforts.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We remain concerned about the capacity of the Palestinian health system to cope with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. We are aware of the temporary cessation of COVID-19 testing in Gaza on 6th December and welcome reports from the World Health Organisation that further testing kits arrived in Gaza on 7th December and testing resumed.</p><p>We have already delivered vital support to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak in the Occupied Palestinian Territories through £1.25 million in funding (World Health Organisation with £630,000 and United Nations Children's Fund with £620,000). This funding helped to provide over 20,000 testing kits, mainly in Gaza.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We are deeply concerned of accusations from both sides that human rights abuses were and are being committed as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and continue to urge de-escalation. On 13 November I urged the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to ensure any such accusations were the subject of thorough investigation. answer text <p>Our consular work, providing help to British nationals all over the world, has always been a priority. The consular assistance we provide British nationals is set out in our guide, 'Support for British Nationals Abroad'. There is also information available on Gov.uk.</p><p>Under a Memorandum to the Joint Declaration, British Nationals (Overseas) (BN(O))s are eligible to consular protection in third countries, but not Hong Kong, Macao or mainland China. The Chinese authorities do not recognise dual nationality and would not grant consular access. Where the UK Government is unable to offer consular assistance and where we have legitimate humanitarian or human rights concerns we will engage the relevant authorities and lobby on that basis. In response to the national security law the UK has already offered a new immigration path for BN(O)s, suspended our extradition treaty with Hong Kong, and extended our arms embargo on mainland China to Hong Kong.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK Government provides technical advice and skills training to governments in developing countries to build capacity to negotiate and benefit from trade and investment agreements through the Trade and Investment Advocacy Fund (TAF2+). We also deliver technical assistance for the African Continental Free Trade Area negotiations through the African Union Support Programme.</p><p>We support a range of organisations, including civil society groups, small-scale farmers and small manufacturing units to build technical skills to sustainably grow their businesses and benefit from wider trade opportunities, through, for example, the Trade, Enterprise and Employment programme in sub Saharan Africa, which we co-fund with Comic Relief.</p> more like this
