This is not disaggregated by Gaza and the West Bank. The UK supports stability and vulnerable Palestinian refugees through our financial assistance to the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA respectively. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2018 answer text <p>The UN estimates that an attack on Hodeidah could displace up to 350,000 people and leave hundreds of thousands of Yemenis without access to basic goods, water or healthcare, with any long-term closure of Hodeidah port likely to put over 3 million more people at risk of starvation. 8.4 million people already face extreme food shortages across the country.</p><p> </p><p>We are in regular contact with the Coalition about the need to ensure that any military operations in and around Hodeidah are conducted in accordance with international humanitarian law, including on the protection of civilians, and do not disrupt commercial and humanitarian flows through the port. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2018 answer text <p>The Secretary of State for International Development and Foreign Secretary wrote a joint letter on 20 March to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, asking her to save as many lives as possible by allocating additional land at lower risk of flooding and landslides, reducing density in the existing camps, and having evacuation plans in place. Minister Field made the same request to Minister of State Shahriar Alam on 27 March, and to Foreign Minister Ali on 19 April.</p><p> </p><p>Following a visit by the United Nations Security Council to Bangladesh and Burma from 28 April – 1 May, we supported a UNSC press statement encouraging the international community to increase support to the Government of Bangladesh for emergency preparedness measures. UN estimates suggest any long closure of Hodeidah port is likely to put over 3 million more people at risk of starvation.</p><p> </p><p>The UK government has been clear in expressing its concerns to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates about any attack on Hodeidah. This includes more effective coordination and communication with partners and regional countries and structures, clearer guidance on command and control structures, and an improved crisis response framework which identifies the roles and responsibilities of all involved departments. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/06/2018 answer text <p>DFID’s Digital Strategy puts technology at the heart of its future aid offer, including by providing support to developing economies to make the most of digital opportunities.</p><p>On digital trade specifically, at the World Trade Organisation’s 11th Ministerial Conference the government supported the statement signed by 71 members to make digital trade easier across the world. These discussions are open to all members and recognise the specific challenges faced by developing countries.</p><p>At the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in April, the UK and other Commonwealth member states adopted a Declaration on the Commonwealth Connectivity Agenda for Trade and Investment, with the goal of expanding investment and boosting intra-Commonwealth trade to US$2 trillion by 2030. Following the launch of a statutory inquiry by the Charity Commission, Save the Children UK withdrew from bidding for new UK Government funding until they can meet the high standards we expect of all our partners. Existing programmes with Save the Children will continue, governed by our risk management processes. The UK is also providing expertise and funding to the UN Verification and Inspection Mechanism (UNVIM) to facilitate import flows into northern Yemen.
