question text	To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, with reference to her Department's Memorandum of Understanding with the Palestinian Authority (PA), what assessment she has made of President Abbas's remarks to the Palestinian Central Council on 28/10/18 that the salaries of our martyrs, prisoners, and wounded are a red line and the martyrs and their families are sacred. We will continue to pay to the wounded and the prisoners. Even if we have one plaster left, it will be for them, and not for the living.

We have recently written to all of our partners to remind them of their responsibility to provide their own mechanisms for reporting and investigating suspicions and/or allegations of sexual violence. Wherever these relate to a DFID programme we also expect that our partners report those to us in a timely manner. Through this programme we will increase trade and job creation across Gaza and the West Bank by helping to enable greater movement and access for people and goods. We will also provide support to facilitate the construction of the Gaza Central Desalination Plant, which will increase access to clean piped water and help replenish the Gaza aquifer, and in turn help Gazans access clean water. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/11/2018 answer text <p>The UK is a long-standing supporter of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), reflecting our shared commitment to ensuring that UK aid reaches the most marginalised. Across 2016 and 2017, the UK contributed in excess of £100m to IOM and £300m to the ICRC in support of their work with those affected by humanitarian crises. It is not possible to disaggregate the amount of this funding utilised in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2016.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for International Development has also committed to provide IOM with an annual contribution of £6m, and ICRC with £63m core unearmarked funding (up to 2021). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/11/2018 answer text <p>The UK has played a leading role in helping secure vital access for food, fuel, and medicine into and throughout Yemen. Last year when Red Sea port access was restricted after a Houthi ballistic missile attack on Riyadh’s civilian airport, UK diplomacy including a visit from the Secretary of State for Development to Riyadh led to the ports being fully reopened. As a part of this effort, the UK provides £1.3 million to the UN Verification and Inspection Mechanism to give the Coalition confidence that weapons are not coming in to Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen on commercial ships. Red Sea ports remain fully operational and continue to import most of the food and fuel on which Yemenis rely.</p><p> </p><p>As we have consistently made clear, the Houthis must facilitate access throughout areas they control which is where most of the population live. As penholder on Yemen in the UN Security Council, the UK continues to call on all parties to comply with the UNSC Presidential Statements of June 2017 and March 2018, which insist that all parties facilitate safe, rapid, and unhindered access for both the humanitarian response and commercial supplies.</p><p> </p><p>On 3 April, the UK announced an additional £170 million in response to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen for this financial year (2018/2019).
