In October, I discussed the issue with Lai Mohammed, Nigerian Minister for Information and Culture, setting out the steps the British government was taking to regulate use of social media for party political purposes and encouraged steps to tackle misinformation online. The BBC World Service in Nigeria, funded by the British Government, has broadcast a report on Africa Eye called &quot;Like. Share. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/11/2018 answer text <p>​We have no organised programmes helping African states with disinformation, although we would consider any specific requests for support.</p><p>HMG communications experts already work in Posts across Africa, supporting proactive and reactive media and communications activity in African countries. Over the coming months, we will hire more communications specialists to provide greater resource for proactive communications and campaigns in Africa. The Foreign Secretary intends to visit Burma and convene a meeting at the UN General Assembly to galvanise international support for this process. We have engaged regularly with actors from across the political spectrum to discuss how the international community can best support Zimbabwe's democratisation process. Most recently, our Ambassador in Harare met President Mnangagwa on 1 June and Movement for Democratic Change Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa on 15 June, to discuss these points.</p><p>The UK will participate in the EU Electoral Observation Mission has been deployed to Zimbabwe to monitor the electoral process. Between 2014 and 2019 we are spending £24 million on civil society support for transparency, accountability, human rights and citizen engagement in Zimbabwe, much of which will help support democratisation. On Twitter I described it as &quot;a despicable attack on Afghanistan's historic Sikh and Hindu community&quot;. The UK regularly raises human rights issues with the Government of Afghanistan, including the need to protect the rights of all ethnic and religious groups in line with the constitution. We regularly engage with faith leaders and faith-based Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in the UK and the MENA region to discuss the situation of religious communities.</p><p>In Syria through our Conflict, Stability and Security Fund, we are supporting projects to promote community cohesion and dialogue between different ethnic and religious groups. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/01/2018 answer text <p>​Brunei's constitution names the Shafi school of Sunni Islam as the country's official religion and states that all religions may be practiced in peace and harmony. Other forms of Islamic observance are not permitted. In 2013 Brunei announced a sharia penal code to operate alongside the common law system. To date, this has not had a significant practical impact on the level of religious freedom in Brunei.
