<p>The CRC Contract Management Group in the HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS)
Directorate of Community Interventions is responsible for managing the 20 CRC contracts
in England. The Group currently operates with an annual budget of £5,302,127, and
80.19 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) staff.</p><p> </p><p>Contract Management of Wales
CRC is the responsibility of HMPPS in Wales, and currently employs 4.25 FTE staff
for this purpose, with an annual budget of £233,000.</p><p> </p><p>The contracts with
CRCs require each CRC to ensure that it employs a sufficient level of staff, and that
its workforce is competent and adequately trained. Our CMTs closely monitor and robustly
manage providers on a local basis, taking into account the regional context, to make
sure they fulfil their contractual commitments to reduce reoffending, protect the
public and provide value for money to the taxpayer.</p>
