</p><p>Investment in National Health Service mental health services has been increasing
over the years for which data are available. In 2015/16, expenditure on mental health
including learning disabilities and dementia by clinical commissioning groups and
NHS England and NHS Improvement was £11 billion. In 2019/20, this had risen to £13.3
billion. We are continuing to invest in expanding and transforming mental health services
through the NHS Long Term Plan, with funding rising by an additional £2.3 billion
a year by 2023/24.</p>
