answer text
As set out in the Plan for Rail, we recognise that the current multitude of train company websites with different standards of service is confusing to passengers. We are continuing to review the best way to address this and are working closely with the rail sector to do this.

We will also open up railway data and systems, whilst lowering barriers to entry for the industry. For ticketing, that means a more competitive retail market and we welcome new players to spur more innovation and give passengers the services they need.

Further updates on rail retailing proposals will be provided in due course.
more like this

answer text
The Office for Students (OfS) holds data on validation arrangements although this is dependent on the reliability of data submitted to the Higher Education Statistics Agency and Individual Learner Record to remain data collections. Previous inaccuracies in the data and other changes in the sector such as mergers between providers and providers leaving the higher education sector means that it is not possible to provide meaningful information over a 5- year period.

In 2020/21 the OfS reports that:

92 OfS-registered providers have been identified as the awarding body for other providers’ students, i.e. appeared to be offering validation services in 2020/21.

310 OfS-registered providers identify another entity as the awarding body for some or all of their students i.e. appear to be utilising validation services in 2020/21.

It should be noted that providers may start and exit validation arrangements as they see fit and are free to negotiate these contracts between themselves. As a result, the OfS cannot accurately determine precisely how many higher education providers have offered validation services, only how many have current validation arrangements in 2020/21.

The 1-5% boiler efficiency level includes both product types with the 5% being an upper maximum for a passive flue gas heat recovery device with thermal storage (typically a 5 to 10 litre store) in a large house.
more like this

answer text
Ministers in the Department for Exiting the European Union are fully engaged on issues related to Northern Ireland. The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland keeps closely engaged on a range of issues of mutual interest and concern with Northern Ireland’s political parties and independents, including on the subject of the UK’s exit from the EU. This engagement includes parties that opted not to join the outgoing Executive.

The Joint Ministerial Committee on EU Negotiations (JMC(EN)) has met four times to understand and consider each administration’s priorities; to seek to agree a UK approach to, and objectives for, negotiations, and to consider proposals put forward by the devolved administrations. The Joint Ministerial Committee is also meeting more frequently in plenary format: the Prime Minister has chaired two meetings since the referendum. Representatives from the DUP and Sinn Fein both attended JMC(P) on Monday 30th January and have attended every JMC(EN). The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland continues to undertake discussions with all of the main political parties and independents in Northern Ireland.

The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and the Prime Minister are fully committed to ensuring that the unique interests of Northern Ireland are protected and advanced.

Regarding engagement with Parliament, we will keep the House informed throughout the entire process of the UK's exit from the European Union; and we have committed to keeping the UK Parliament at least as well informed as the European Parliament as negotiations progress.
