answer text <p>Defence and the Office for Veterans’ Affairs jointly commissioned an independent review into the service and experience of LGBT veterans who served in the Armed Forces between 1967 and 2000. The review underlines Defence’s unwavering commitment to understanding how best to support its veteran and LGBT community.</p><p> </p><p>The questions of financial compensation and other corrective and restorative measures were included in the scope of the LGBT Veterans Independent Review.</p><p> </p><p>Defence is grateful to Lord Etherton for his work on this important review. We deeply regret the past treatment of LGBT personnel in the Armed Forces and thank those that have come forward. The Government is considering the recommendations of the review and will respond in due course.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>We are investing an additional £2.3 billion a year by 2023/24 in mental health services, with £57 million being invested in suicide prevention and suicide bereavement from 2019/20 to 2023/24. In addition, in March 2021 we published our Mental Health and Wellbeing Recovery Plan, setting out our response to the mental health impacts of the pandemic. Many of the actions in the Plan will support people at risk of self-harm or suicide. The plan is backed by an additional £500 million with £5million made available to support suicide prevention voluntary and community sector organisations in 2021/22.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department of Health and Social Care are developing and launching an application process and will be in touch with air ambulance charities and the Association of Air Ambulances to confirm details and timings in due course. The amount of funding awarded will depend on the amount requested in bids from air ambulance charity trusts, subject to approval from the Department of Health and Social Care.</p> more like this
