This is consistent with the Paris Agreement goal to limit global warming to well below 2°C and pursue efforts towards 1.5°C.</p><p>The Environment Act 2021 commits the Government to halting the decline in species in England by 2030, in addition to setting at least one long term target for biodiversity. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/11/2022 answer text <p>The Government confirmed at Spring Budget 2021 that it would remove the entitlement to use red diesel from most sectors from April 2022.</p><p> </p><p>The Government recognised that this would be a significant change for some businesses and ran a consultation to gather information from affected users on the expected impact of these tax changes and make sure it had not overlooked any exceptional reasons why other sectors should be allowed to continue to use red diesel beyond April 2022.</p><p> </p><p>Having assessed the cases made by other sectors to retain their red diesel entitlement, the Government did not believe that they were compelling enough to outweigh the need to ensure fairness between the different users of diesel fuels, the Government’s long-term environmental objectives and the need for the tax system to incentivise the development of greener alternatives to polluting fuels.</p><p> </p><p>In response to high fuel prices, the Government announced a temporary 12-month cut to the duty on petrol and diesel of 5p per litre and an equivalent percentage cut on the rates for rebated fuels. This includes through the full range of multilateral fora, including the UN Human Rights Council, UN Security Council, G7 and the UN General Assembly Third Committee. The issue was discussed at the November G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting and we have put pressure on Iran through the United Nations, including the Human Rights Council, Security Council and General Assembly Third Committee. On Monday 14 November, the UK and the EU announced coordinated sanctions against various Iranian officials for their part in the violent repression of protests in Iran. This followed the sanctioning on Monday 10 September of the 'so called' Morality Police, its senior leadership, and several other security officials involved in the repression of protestors. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2022 answer text <p>The significant increase in dangerous journeys across the Channel is placing unprecedented strain on our asylum system and it has made it necessary to continue to use hotels to accommodate some asylum seekers. The use of hotels is a short-term solution and we are working hard with local authorities to find appropriate accommodation.</p><p>There are currently more than 37,000 asylum seekers in hotels costing the UK taxpayer £5.6 million a day.
