The Clean Air Strategy also recognises that rail transport is a cleaner form of transport which makes a small contribution to poor air quality when compared to road haulage. The Rail Industry will map UK rail supply chain strengths and weaknesses and align this to an analysis of overseas opportunities to better target its export activities. The sector will also deliver an export mentoring and secondment programme, to strengthen exporting ability.</p><p> </p><p>After exiting the EU, the UK will have the flexibility to align with or diverge from new technical standards developed by the European Union Agency for Railways within a domestic standards framework. However, this does not mean that we wish to remove the UK from international norms in rail technical and safety standards. It was updated in 2018 to incorporate the launch of the “Speak Out” reporting line. The Whistleblowing Policy is published internally on the HS2 Ltd intranet. HS2 Ltd is now working on launching the “Speak Out” reporting line outside of HS2 Ltd. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/11/2018 answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>There are no stations that will be served by Crossrail 1 trains that have a station platform height of 1000mm or 750mm.</p><p> </p><p>The Crossrail rolling stock contract is held and managed by Transport for London (TfL), and therefore any conversations with train manufacturers regarding the specification of the Elizabeth line trains are a matter for TfL. However, Crossrail Limited have provided the Department with a summary of their findings concerning the possible use of trains with floor heights lower than 1100mm. Crossrail Limited identified significant problems that would have impacted upon the design of the train, such as a widening of the gauge profile which would result in unacceptable infringements on gauge clearances at legacy platforms.</p><p> </p><p>As the future operator of the Elizabeth line, the operating costs for stations are a matter for TfL.</p><p>Crossrail 2 is under development.
