<p>We have not raised the specific issue of the closure of crossings during Jewish religious holidays with the Israeli authorities. We recognise the Israeli authorities' legitimate need to deploy security measures in some circumstances, including the closure of checkpoints and crossings, and we encourage them to do so in a way which minimises tensions.</p>
