answer text <p>NHS Digital publishes workforce statistics and the following table shows the number of social services staff, occupational therapy staff and physiotherapy staff employed in the National Health Service trusts and clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) each year since 2009. Data for May 2017 is provided as this is the latest available.</p><p> </p><p>Due to changes in data collection and processing methodology it is not possible to provide data prior to September 2009 in a form which is directly comparable with the rest of the time series.
