answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2017 answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>We are intending to publish further data on payment timeliness in due course, but our latest internal data, for week ending 19 June, suggests some 80% of cases were paid in full at the end of the first assessment period.</p><p> </p><p>For the 20% of cases who were not paid in full we estimate around a third have not signed up to their claimant commitment so cannot be paid until they have. The other two thirds have an outstanding verification issue, such as providing bank statements, evidence of childcare costs, or proof of rent. We continue to work closely with Government Digital Service to support the success of the Verify online system. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2017 answer text <p>The Gas Safety (Installations and Use) Regulations 1998 require landlords to ensure that each gas appliance and flue in a property provided for tenants’ use is checked to ensure it is operating safely by a Gas Safe registered engineer within 12 months of being installed and at intervals of not more than 12 months since it was last checked. Such checks must be done on each gas appliance – not just a representative sample.</p><p> </p><p>A recent consultation by the Health and Safety Executive on these Regulations involved an assessment of the adequacy of landlords’ gas safety checks, including with respect to carbon monoxide.
