The Task Force objective is to share experience and best practice on planning and delivering major infrastructure projects. The former Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion (Baroness Fairhead) had policy responsibility for the objectives of the Task Force. Until a successor is in post, my Hon. Alongside the Withdrawal Agreement, the EU undertook to notify its treaty partners that the UK is treated as a Member State for the purposes of EU international agreements during the Implementation Period.</p><p> </p><p>Nevertheless, we continue to work on replicating the effects of existing trade agreements with Canada and the Southern African Customs Union and Mozambique partner countries, which includes South Africa. The IMF recently estimated this to be in the order of -0.5% of global GDP in 2020. The UK is engaging with partners across the globe to seek a resolution. We are clear that nobody benefits from trade wars.</p><p> </p><p>The UK shares some of the US’s concerns with China’s trade practices and believes they should be addressed through structural reform in China and through multilateral cooperation, including ambitious reform of the World Trade Organization (WTO). The UK supports a global rules-based trade system. The Department for International Trade’s (DIT) regionally based international trade advisers ensure that companies they advise are aware of the importance of language and culture and, if needs are identified, they are brokered to private sector providers. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2019 answer text <p>The UK is currently party to a small number of trade related agreements between the EU and the US. These cover issues such as mutual recognition of conformity assessment in certain sectors. The UK has now completed work to transition these agreements to bilateral UK-US agreements. They are ready to come into effect when the UK leaves the EU.</p><p> </p><p>On 14 February 2019, the UK and US signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) on Conformity Assessment to ensure continuity of mutual recognition in the following three sectors: good manufacturing practice for pharmaceuticals, telecommunications equipment, and electromagnetic compatibility. Other agreements, including on wine, spirits and marine equipment have been signed between the UK and US to ensure continuity as the UK leaves the EU.</p><p> </p><p>These agreements do not cover all of UK trade with the US. The US continues to be our single largest bilateral trading partner. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>The government values international exchange and collaboration in education and training as part of its vision for a global Britain. Irrespective of the outcome of Article 50 negotiations with the European Union, the government wants UK and European countries to continue to give young people and students the chance to benefit from each other’s world-leading universities post-exit.</p><p>We are open to exploring participation in the Erasmus+ successor scheme (2021-27) though this will ultimately be subject to wider UK-EU negotiations on the future partnership. This is part of considering a wide range of options with regards to the future of international exchange and collaboration in education and training, including potential domestic alternatives.</p><p>While Erasmus+ is the largest mobility programme in which the UK participates, evidence suggests that around half of UK higher education outward mobilities take place outside of the Erasmus+ programme.
