<p>The UK’s average annual GDP growth rate between 2008-2021 was the fourth highest in the G7 at 0.8%, below the US (1.6%), Canada (1.3%) and Germany (0.9%). It was above France (0.7%), Japan (0.2%) and Italy (-0.4%).</p>
