answer text <p>Further to my written answer of 23 May, we are making good progress on the resettlement of the 92 refugees referred for resettlement to the UK by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – many of whom have now arrived in the UK. answer text <p>​Following the UNHCR's urgent appeal for resettlement places, the UK has committed to participate in the resettlement of the most vulnerable refugees who have been evacuated by UNHCR from Libya to Niger. This is in addition to the UK's existing commitment to resettle up to 3,000 vulnerable refugee children and their families from the Middle East and North Africa more widely by 2020 under the Vulnerable Children's Resettlement Scheme. The UK Government currently supports the EU's Operation Sophia through the provision of staff to its Operational Headquarters. Presently the Operation's naval operations are temporarily suspended, however should the Operation's air surveillance assets observe a vessel in distress, relevant information is sent to the nearest Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre to coordinate a response.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Chevening House is not funded by the Government and is the responsibility of its trustees. The Prime Minister decides who occupies the building. It is currently shared by the Foreign Secretary, the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union and the Secretary of State for International Trade.</p><p>Since taking office, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs has used Chevening House for departmental use once. The Secretary of State is a protected person, therefore for security reasons we do not disclose his whereabouts during his personal time.</p> more like this

As the FCO is present in over 170 countries there is a need for long distance travel. FCO officials may fly business class only if the flight is ten hours or longer, or on flights of more than five hours in exceptional circumstances.</p><p>On occasion, it may be necessary for Ministers and FCO officials to travel first class, for example where journeys need to be made at short notice and there is no availability in any other class, or due to airline limitations when booking two or more sector flights.</p>

answer text <p>The FCO is by definition a global organisation which uses travel as an essential part of its role.</p><p>FCO Policy is that public transport should be used whenever possible. All FCO staff are directed to use standard class for rail travel unless there are exceptional circumstances. Prior line management approval must be given.</p><p>FCO staff travelling by air are required to book the lowest standard fare possible, subject to budget holder approval. FCO officials may fly business class only if the flight is ten hours or longer, or on flights of more than 5 hours in exceptional circumstances.</p><p>The FCO's expenditure on taxi, First class rail and Business class air travel is detailed in the table below.
