To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the findings in
the report of the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions
Investigation into the unlawful death of Mr. Jamal Khashoggi, published on 19 June, that
(1) Jamal Khashoggi was the victim of a premeditated extrajudicial execution, for
which the State of Saudi Arabia is responsible, (2) there is "credible evidence, warranting
further investigation of high-level Saudi officials’ individual liability, including
that of the Crown Prince's", (3) the Human Rights Council, the Security Council or
the UN Secretary-General should conduct an international follow-up criminal investigation
for the purpose of determining individual liability and identifying options towards
judicial accountability, and (4) there have been few effective international responses,
whether legal, political or diplomatic, to date.
