In 2014 the United Kingdom also provided financial support to Medica Zenica to help establish the first free telephone service to inform and counsel both survivors of conflict related sexual violence and children born out of wartime sexual violence. The British Government works closely with other organisations, such as the International Organization for Migration, including providing funding, which provides help for children born of wartime sexual violence.

We continue to support FCoW and Medica Zenica politically, and look forward to welcoming their representatives to the PSVI Conference later this year.
more like this

Implementation of the ceasefire is for the parties directly involved but we have made clear our expectation that all parties abide by the agreed ceasefire and by their obligations under international humanitarian law. We been consistently clear with Turkey on our opposition to its military action in north-east Syria – the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and Minister for the Middle East and North Africa have each made this clear to their Turkish counterparts, most recently on 26 October.
more like this

The EU has allocated over €2 billion since 2015 to support Greek handling of migration and border management. The United Kingdom is also providing bilateral support. This includes, in 2019, funding a shelter for the most vulnerable unaccompanied children who arrive in Samos. In addition, under Section 67 of the 2016 Immigration Act (the "Dubs Amendment") the United Kingdom is accepting the transfer of some of the most vulnerable unaccompanied children from Greece.
more like this

answer text
The British Government remains committed to supporting Greece's efforts to manage migration effectively and is working with the Greek Government to this end. We hope to sign shortly a UK-Greece Migration Action Plan which will set out the framework for future bilateral co-operation on migration. Currently the United Kingdom is providing interpreters in the camps, helping to identify migrants and ensuring they get the help they need as quickly as possible. The United Kingdom provides financial support to the Metadrasi children's shelter on Samos, which provides a safe place to stay and professional support to the most vulnerable unaccompanied children who arrive on Samos. The DUBS scheme is continuing for the transfer of the most vulnerable unaccompanied children to the United Kingdom. The scheme aims to help provide support to the most vulnerable migrants, and alleviate pressures on the islands. The United Kingdom also continues to support search and rescue operations in the Aegean, with United Kingdom vessels rescuing 16000 migrants since 2015. The EU is continuing to work with the Greek authorities to improve migration management processes.

We are pressing Kosovo to set out the steps it plans to take to revoke or suspend its 100 per cent tariffs on imports from Serbia. We are urging both Governments to re-commit themselves to the EU-facilitated dialogue, and to allow negotiations to resume so that a comprehensive, sustainable agreement can be reached that addresses outstanding issues, enhances regional stability and is supported by the citizens in both countries. I also stressed the importance of reaching an agreement during my recent visit to Belgrade during my meeting with the Foreign Minister.
more like this
