answer text <p>We are engaging with stakeholders from across the local and national health and care system, including the Royal College of Surgeons of England, to ensure our programme is as effective as possible ahead of the winter.</p><p>Clinicians in the National Health Service are able to test patients where clinically appropriate, in line with the Chief Medical Officer and NHS England guidance. We continue to work with the NHS to ensure testing is available where appropriate and clinically indicated.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Crown Commercial Service provides Management Consultancy Framework 2, on which suppliers can be selected for their suitability. The framework runs until September 2021. McKinsey were requested to fulfil the requirements of the contract due to their suitability to deliver the requirements and ability to deliver at short notice. The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) reviews the scientific evidence and as of 29 June, the Government has released minutes and papers discussed at SAGE and its sub-committees, up to SAGE 47 on 16 July. The release of documents will continue as soon as is reasonably practicable after each SAGE meeting throughout the COVID-19 emergency. answer text <p>The Government Office for Science and the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies currently and will continue to publish national and regional R rates on a regular basis. NHS Test and Trace are not planning to publish R rates at the local authority level. This is because estimates of R for geographies smaller than regional level are less reliable and it is more appropriate to identify local hotspots through, for example, monitoring rates of new cases and investigating outbreaks. The Joint Biosecurity Centre and Public Health England continue to closely monitor this local activity closely.</p> more like this
