answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2015 answer text <p>The UK is at the forefront of the fight against Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). At the London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases in 2012 the UK committed an additional £195million to combat these diseases. We support programmes protecting millions of the poorest from a range of NTDs. We also support research into new drugs and diagnostics to combat NTDs. There remains a significant funding gap for NTDs. The UK is meeting our commitments. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/06/2015 answer text <p>DFID is committed to ensuring that the specific needs of the most vulnerable and marginalised, including older people, are addressed in everything DFID does. This includes in our country programmes and humanitarian responses, through DFID-supported social protection programmes such as the Senior Citizen’s Grant in Uganda and by committing to making age-disaggregated data is a requirement for humanitarian financing. DFID also funds a number of civil society organisations who support older people, including a significant partnership with HelpAge International.
