The best approaches for interventions are identified in consideration of the specific context of implementation. DFID is supporting a wide range of programmes with agro-ecological components, from soil and water conservation and land use management to climate resilience and conservation agriculture. On the research front, DFID supports the Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security research programme as well as the Sustainable Agricultural Intensification Research and Learning in Africa. The Adaptation for Smallholder Agriculture Programme supports farmers to adapt agricultural systems to be climate resilient. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/11/2015 answer text <p>Through the UK Government’s International Climate Fund DFID has worked with the World Health Organisation to assess the effect that climate change will have on water and sanitation facilities and has produced a joint report titled ‘Vision 2030’. This outlines the evidence, and sets out what can be done to optimise the resilience of water and sanitation technologies, infrastructure and services. DFID has also funded the Overseas Development Institute to produce a report assessing the risks that climate change poses to the delivery of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programmes. We have made clear to the Government of Eritrea that it must honour its international obligations and that improved respect for human rights is required to help stem the flow of irregular migration. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/10/2015 answer text <p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office receives a wide range of reporting on Somalia from our Embassy in Mogadishu and other actors on the ground, including the United Nations and the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), the media and other open sources. Reporting shows that Al Shabaab continues vigorously to contest the lower Shabelle region. Recent Al Shabaab activities have included the re-occupation of Janaale and Kurtenwarey (alongside the continuing occupation of Jilib) following tactical AMISOM withdrawals from these smaller, more isolated positions in order to consolidate forces and focus offensive efforts elsewhere. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/09/2015 answer text <p>Working through the Pan American Health Organisation and the International Federation of the Red Cross, DFID has been able to provide medical supplies and health care response workers and support efforts to re-establish safe drinking water provision, proper hygiene and sanitation in communities affected by Tropical Storm Erika. This immediate assistance also included the deployment of Royal Fleet Auxiliary Lyme Bay which provided significant humanitarian support to the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica including the provision of 7,170 hot meals, 78,000 litres of water (bottled and containerised), 20 tonnes of dry provisions and treatment of 35 patients ashore.
