<p>The number of adopted children who were formerly looked-after by the local authority
in each of the last three years was published in Table E1 in the statistical release
‘Children looked after in England including adoption: 2017 to 2018’ available at:

target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/children-looked-after-in-england-including-adoption-2017-to-2018</a>.
The department does not estimate the number of adopted children who were not previously
looked-after.</p>
