answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2019 answer text <p>Pay data and specific rates are a matter for each individual contractor, but assurances are provided to ensure full compliance with the requirements of the National Living Wage. In April 2019 Government increased the National Living Wage to £8.21 per hour. This is an above inflation increase that saw a full-time minimum wage worker over £2,750 better off over the course of a year compared to when the policy was introduced.</p><p> </p><p>We value all of our staff and they all deserve a fair and competitive wage, whether they are directly employed or working through our contractors. The MEWG will use this analysis to inform the recruitment by the shipyards to meet their future delivery requirements.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s Industrial Strategy “Building a Britain Fit for the Future” includes the commitment to support young people to develop the skills they need for jobs in the future. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/09/2019 answer text <p>Guidance issued by the environment agencies (Guidance on Requirements for Release of Nuclear Sites from Radioactive Substances Regulation) identifies a credible option of leaving behind some low level radioactive waste as a permitted disposal after a nuclear site has been decommissioned. All Site Licence Companies, including Magnox Ltd, are required to consider the new guidance when defining the optimum end state for each site. In situ disposal of some wastes, rather than retrieving and disposing of it in some other manner, could significantly reduce environmental impacts, health and safety risks and costs and preserve much-needed waste disposal infrastructure capacity.</p><p> </p><p>The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and Magnox Ltd, which became a subsidiary of the NDA on 1 September 2019, will continually review key strategies (including those relating to waste management and end states) and engage with stakeholders where necessary to ensure that plans represent the best and most up-to-date approaches.</p> answering member constituency Stratford-on-Avon answering member printed Nadhim Zahawi question first answered 09/09/2019 08:28:49 answering member 4113 label Biography information for Nadhim Zahawi
