Friend, the Secretary of State has visited and met with staff at Rothesay Nursery School in Luton and Martenscroft Nursery school in Manchester. My right hon. Friend, the Minister for School Standards held a roundtable with a group of headteachers to discuss school funding, which was attended by the headteacher of Castle Vale Nursery School.</p><p> </p><p>We recognise that MNS are an important part of the early years sector and make a valuable contribution to improving the lives of some of our most disadvantaged children. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/01/2019 answer text <p>​The department does not hold data that breaks down take-up of the childcare entitlements by disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged households.</p><p>Disadvantaged 2 year olds are eligible for 15 hours a week (over 38 weeks of the year) of free early education if they meet the criteria set out at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds?step-by-step-nav=f237ec8e-e82c-4ffa-8fba-2a88a739783b" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds?step-by-step-nav=f237ec8e-e82c-4ffa-8fba-2a88a739783b</a>. As of January 2018, there were 2,080 2 year olds accessing this entitlement in Nottinghamshire, 72% of those eligible which is in line with the national average for take up of this entitlement.</p><p>All 3 and 4 year olds are also eligible for 15 hours a week (over 38 weeks of the year) of free early education. As of January 2018, 9,060 3 year olds in Nottinghamshire were accessing the universal offer. This is 100% of 3 year olds and higher than the national average for 3 year old take-up, which is 92%.</p><p>​Since September 2017, working parents of 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 30 hours free childcare a week (over 38 weeks of the year), supporting a wide-range of parents to enter work or increase their work hours. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/01/2019 answer text <p>‘Staying Put’ has helped thousands of care leavers to transition more smoothly from care to living independently. It provides continuity of relationships and care arrangements, enabling care leavers to benefit from a stable and secure family setting, and to prepare for independence at a more gradual pace, rather than facing a ‘cliff-edge’ at age 18.</p><p>The government keeps the Staying Put policy under constant review, including through monitoring data from local authorities on take-up by young people, engagement with the sector, and reviewing information from Ofsted inspections of local authorities. Staying Put was also considered as part of the independent fostering review undertaken by Sir Martin Narey and Mark Owers, published in February 2018.</p><p>The latest data show that increasing numbers of care leavers are living in Staying Put arrangements. In the year ending March 2018, 55% of 18-year-olds chose to Stay Put, which is an increase of 4% on 2017. Furthermore, the data show that 31% of 19-year-olds, and 26% of 20-year-olds were still living with their former foster carers, which represent increases on the previous year.</p><p>In 2018 to 2019 the government provided £23.3 million to local authorities to implement Staying Put, with a further £23.77 million committed for 2019 to 2020. Decisions on funding beyond March 2020 will be subject to the outcome of the next Spending Review.</p><p>The government does not believe that introducing a national minimum allowance for Staying Put carers is the right way forward. Unlike children in foster care, young people in Staying Put arrangements are adults, and may be in work or claiming benefits. These financial sources can be used to contribute to the cost of providing the Staying Put arrangement, in a similar way that young people who are still living at home with their parents may contribute to the costs of running the household.</p><p>The government does not believe a foster carer’s approval should automatically lapse after 12 months if they are a Staying Put carer. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/01/2019 answer text <p>As at 7 January 2019, 78 academies were in the process of transferring from one trust to another and all of these academies have a new sponsor identified.</p><p>Academies may transfer to other trusts in a range of circumstances. In some cases, Regional School Commissioners may intervene due to concerns about academy performance and in other cases, an academy may be moving trust as part of an agreed voluntary arrangement. In all cases, a new trust will have been identified before the transfer is approved. The department is in the final year of a multi-year settlement deal worth over £200 billion in the five years to 2020.</p><p>At the Autumn Budget 2018, the government made £410 million available to local authorities, in 2019/20, for adult and children social care.
