answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2021 answer text <p>For phase one of the vaccine programme, the underlying principles at the forefront of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advice are to reduce mortality and morbidity, and to protect the National Health Service and social care systems. Having considered a number of different vaccination strategies, the robust evidence indicates that the best option for preventing mortality in the initial phase of the programme is to directly protect persons most at risk.</p><p>Having identified age as being the biggest determining risk factor to increased mortality the JCVI has advised for cohort one vaccinations should be prioritised for older care home residents and staff given the high levels of severe outcomes in this cohort. This is followed by health and social care workers, then to the rest of the population aged 50 years old and above in order of age and clinical risk factors.</p><p>Those undergoing haemodialysis have been prioritised in priority cohort six as defined in the Green Book Chapter 14a for those with chronic kidney disease. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/12/2020 answer text <p>The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) consists of independent experts who advise the Government on which vaccine(s) the United Kingdom should use and provide advice on prioritisation at a population level. The JCVI has advised that the first priorities for any COVID-19 vaccination programme should be the prevention of COVID-19 mortality and the protection of health and social care staff and systems.</p><p> </p><p>Therefore, in line with the recommendations of the JCVI, the vaccine will be initially rolled out to these priority groups, including care home residents and staff, people over 80 years old, and health and care workers. The vaccine will then be prioritised amongst the rest of the population in order of age and risk, including those who are clinically extremely vulnerable, and all individuals aged 16-64 years old with underlying health conditions.</p><p> </p><p>As the first phase of the programme is rolled out in the UK, additional data will become available on the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines. The aerospace and aviation sectors are also benefiting from support through UK Export Finance, the Bank of England’s Covid Corporate Financing Facility, and grants for research and development. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/07/2020 answer text <p>The Government recognises that scaffolding is a safety-critical sector, and that scaffolding that is adequately erected and maintained can help to prevent accidents in the construction industry.</p><p> </p><p>The necessary levels of practical skills for scaffolders can be achieved through approved training and assessment programmes, in combination with experience in the workplace. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2020 answer text <p>The Government is supporting the construction sector to increase investment in skills development, and to equip workers with the skills that they will need for the future.</p><p> </p><p>This is a cross-industry drive, which includes companies delivering independent training to scaffolders who are not part of the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme.
