answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2021 answer text <p>For phase one of the vaccine programme, the underlying principles at the forefront of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advice are to reduce mortality and morbidity, and to protect the National Health Service and social care systems. Having considered a number of different vaccination strategies, the robust evidence indicates that the best option for preventing mortality in the initial phase of the programme is to directly protect persons most at risk.</p><p>Having identified age as being the biggest determining risk factor to increased mortality the JCVI has advised for cohort one vaccinations should be prioritised for older care home residents and staff given the high levels of severe outcomes in this cohort. This is followed by health and social care workers, then to the rest of the population aged 50 years old and above in order of age and clinical risk factors.</p><p>Those undergoing haemodialysis have been prioritised in priority cohort six as defined in the Green Book Chapter 14a for those with chronic kidney disease. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/04/2021 answer text <p>Information on the staffing levels, number of vaccines and resources for COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Lambeth, Southwark and London is not held centrally.</p><p>As of the latest weekly data published on 15 April 2021, there has been good progress on vaccination uptake, with 108,258 doses administered in Lambeth and 102,347 in Southwark. Local National Health Service leaders are working with national and local partners across the NHS, local government, health and social care partnerships and voluntary sector to access resources, such as the workforce, when establishing vaccination clinics in Lambeth and Southwark, while continuing to ensure adequate resources are available to existing sites. People who have received a stem cell transplant more than six months ago are included in this definition. People who have received a stem cell transplant within the last six months will be defined as clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV), in which case they are included in priority group 4. We have also introduced a minimum four-visit schedule to ensure as many care home staff and residents can be vaccinated on-site as possible. For those workers who may not have been present when the vaccination team visited the specific care home, access via other vaccination services has been available.
