answer text <p>As the government announced on 30 April, the Education Endowment Foundation will trial projects to provide practical tools and advice to parents so that they can help their child to learn new words.</p><p> </p><p>The Education Endowment Foundation will launch a call for proposals for home learning environment programmes to trial shortly. Trial areas will be finalised when the trial programmes have been selected.</p><p> </p><p>The department has not estimated the number of children that will benefit from the trial, however, our objective is to strengthen the evidence base and disseminate the findings widely in order that parents and children across the country can benefit.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>As at 26 April 2018, there were 89 academies that have been approved by Head Teacher Boards to transfer to another trust.</p><p> </p><p>Academies may transfer to other trusts in a range of circumstances. In some cases, Regional Schools Commissioners may be intervening due to concerns about academy performance. In other cases, an academy may be moving trust as part of an agreed voluntary arrangement. Although transfers are agreed in principle, some may end up not going ahead for any number of reasons.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The department has worked with all the schools and the new trusts to provide appropriate support and resources, including funding, so that each of the schools has what they require to improve pupil outcomes and secure the financial future for those schools.</p><p>Further detail on funding for the schools and their new trusts remains sensitive at this stage in the process. The department annually publishes transparency data on a key strand of relevant funding: ‘Academy trust transfers and grant funding’. This provides information on grant funding given to schools and trusts. The data shows funding provided where academies have joined new trusts in the financial year 2013-17 until 2016-17. answer text <p>The department has confirmed new trusts for 10 of the 12 schools in the Education Fellowship Trust (TEFT). The department is working with all involved to transfer the academies as smoothly as possible and in a way that secures the financial future for each school as well as the education of their pupils.</p><p> </p><p>The schools are being closely monitored by the Regional School Commissioners.
