answer text <p>The Department constantly reviews the challenges facing the sector and individual authorities, including financial risk. Following the consultation on the 2018/19 Local Government Finance Settlement, all councils have set a balanced budget for the financial year 2018-19. answer text <p>The £2 billion for adult social care announced at Spring Budget 2017 forms part of the improved Better Care Fund which is required to be pooled into the Better Care Fund. All local Better Care Funds covering 2017-19 were signed off by Health and Wellbeing Boards in 2017, following agreement by the relevant local authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups. The Planning Requirements for 2019-20 are not yet published.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Many micro businesses do not pay business rates, as they do not occupy rateable property or they benefit from Small Business Rates Relief (SBRR). SBRR was doubled to 100 per cent for businesses with rateable values under £12,000 from April 2017, meaning 600,000 small businesses now pay no business rates. Furthermore, all business, including micro businesses, will benefit from the Government’s decision to bring forward the switch of the annual indexation of business rates from RPI to CPI by two years to April 2018.</p> more like this
