Bidders are incentivised to demonstrate how they intend to strengthen the UK supply chain through increased security of supply, supply chain capability development and the mitigation of supply chain vulnerabilities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/04/2019 answer text <p>The Fleet Solid Support ships will not directly provide a carrier strike or carrier-enabled power projection capability but will facilitate these through the delivery of food, stores and ordnance to the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers. For Package 1, Command, Liaison and Logistic vehicle, the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, manufactured by Oshkosh, has been identified as the preferred option. No final decision has yet been made. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2018 answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence took the decision to stop the procurement of the Type 31e Frigate because we had not received sufficient compliant bids for the Competitive Design Phase. The market was formally notified on 20 July 2018.</p><p>We communicated our plans for the first stage of the new procurement on 13 August 2018 by issuing a Prior Information Notice (PIN). This PIN invited potential suppliers to a short period of early market engagement to allow us to share with industry key elements of the new procurement, including technical and commercial information.
