answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/01/2018 answer text <p>The UK has been at the forefront of international efforts to end Child, Early and Forced Marriage since hosting the Girl Summit in 2014. DFID focuses on the causes and consequences of child marriage, recognising many instances of child marriage are forced marriages.</p><p>The main UK Aid-funded programme to prevent and respond to child, early and forced marriage, Accelerating Action Against Child Marriage, includes UNICEF, UNFPA and civil society organisations. The programme has reached over 1.6 million people. This includes three quarters of a million girls at risk of child marriage, or already married; as well as community members and leaders who influence practices and behaviours around child marriage. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/01/2018 answer text <p>The UK has engaged in the recent United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Advisory Commission meetings which include the United States, all main donors and host Governments. The UK has highlighted our concern about the impact on the activities of UNRWA that any unexpected reductions or delays in predicted donor disbursements might have. The United States has consistently been UNRWA’s largest single donor. My officials are working closely with UNRWA and donors on how best to ensure continuity of essential services to Palestinian refugees at this time. The recent escalation in fighting and restrictions on commercial and humanitarian access threaten to push the country into catastrophic famine. The UN estimates that almost 18 million people in Yemen do not have reliable access to food and over 8 million people face extreme food shortages.</p><p> </p><p>The International Development Secretary visited Djibouti and Saudi Arabia in December, where she announced a further £50 million in life-saving UK aid to provide food and fuel for millions of people.
