answer text <p>Views on the VAT registration threshold are divided and the case for change has been regularly reviewed over the years. While some businesses have argued that a higher threshold would reduce administrative and financial burdens, others contend that a lower threshold would provide a fairer competitive environment.</p><p>In 2018, the Government consulted on how the design of the VAT registration threshold could better incentivise growth. However, there was no clear option for reform.</p><p>It was announced at Autumn Budget 2022 that the VAT threshold will be maintained at its current level of £85,000 until 31 March 2026.</p> more like this

This is why, at £85,000, the UK has a higher VAT registration threshold than any EU Member State and the second highest in the OECD. answer text <p>Where a charity chooses to offer its goods or services for free and invites voluntary donations, with no minimum payment required and with no expectation of anything in return, no VAT is charged.</p><p><br> Where the charity wishes to sell its goods and services for a set price, and is VAT registered, it must charge VAT unless a VAT relief exists. There is no VAT due on an amount paid voluntarily over and above the set price.</p><p><br> Charities benefit from a range of tax reliefs, including a zero-rate relief for the sale of donated goods. Costed tax reliefs value these at over £5.4 billion in the year ending April 2022.</p><p> </p><p>While all taxes are kept under review, we have no plans to make changes to the VAT treatment of minimum donations.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The evacuation of eligible people from Afghanistan was a humanitarian effort- and at every step of the process, the security and safety of the UK and its citizens was front of mind. Where a threat is identified, it is investigated and we do not hesitate to take robust action against anyone who poses a threat to the UK.</p><p>Information relating to how many individuals have been refused under the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy on national security grounds is sensitive and is not published. answer text <p>To preserve the independence of the judiciary, the Lord Chief Justice (LCJ), the Senior President of the Tribunals, and the Chief Coroner have statutory responsibility for judicial training, under the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007, and Coroners and Justice Act 2009 respectively. These responsibilities are exercised through the Judicial College. The judiciary with support of the professional staff, in the Judicial College are responsible for the design, content, and delivery of judicial training.</p><p> </p><p>I understand that, since April 2021, the Chair of the Judicial College, in consultation with the President of the Family Division, has led work to review judicial training on domestic abuse. Refreshed and updated specialist digital training on domestic abuse was launched in October 2021 for all family judges, including Recorders and Deputy District Judges. New digital domestic abuse training to meet the needs of magistrates and legal advisers was also launched in October.</p><p> </p><p>New training that addresses the Domestic Abuse Act will be rolled out from April 2022 and will form a substantial part of compulsory family and civil continuation training seminars for the 2022/23 training year.</p>

answer text <p>The Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) commenced on 6 January 2022 and will provide up to 20,000 women, children and others at risk with a safe and legal route to resettle in the UK.</p><p>As set out in the policy statement of 13 September, there will be many more people seeking to come to the UK under the scheme than there are places. It is right that we take a considered approach, working with partners to resettle people to the UK. answer text <p>For those who were not called forward as part of Op Pitting, or who are not offered resettlement under the ACRS, they will need to apply to come to the UK under the existing economic or family migration rules.
